Public safety employees are held to a higher standard than other employees, and their social media activities often create difficult situations for the department and the employee. Attendees will hear real-life examples of public safety employees disciplined for their social media use and learn tips for drafting and enforcing legal and constitutional employee social media policies and training employees on appropriate social media use, both on and off the job.
